Hi, I’m Lauren Lewis, and I am so excited about meeting you!
A little about me…
As a family daycare provider, I’m no stranger to early childhood development, having spent over 10 years in the childcare industry (Holy cow that makes me feel old!).
I’m the work-at-home wife of a travel geek, scrunchy mother of two vivacious children, and I have an uncanny talent for trailing lost things behind me, a la Hansel and Gretel. Blogging (catch me at momsquaddaily.com or on the Red Tricycle, my Littles, and photography give me a beautiful blend of creative outlets that satisfy my ADD-active-brain. Thank goodness my loving husband puts up with me bouncing from one thing to the next, and losing half my belongings along the way.
I picked up a camera because I wanted to capture my family memories, so I could hold on to and treasure them far beyond that moment in time. What I found, however, was a beautiful outlet and a passion for capturing those little moments, not just for my self, but for others too. I realized that I could freeze in a single frame, not just the way a person looked, but who they were, and how they felt in that stage of their life.
I’m constantly striving (and often failing) to perfect balance between hot-mess-mom and do-it-all mom.
If I’m not bending over backwards (sometimes literally) to take the perfect picture, you’ll find me making time to support a friend, read up on the latest in Early Childhood Development, or at the latest PTO meeting (while secretly fantasizing about hiring a live in maid).
Oh, and I drink copious amounts of coffee. You can call me basic all you want, because I won’t deny it- the way to my heart is through the perfect pumpkin spice latte.
The funny thing is, in this beautiful disaster of a life, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
